The Problem
According to the World Health Organization, 400 million children under age five are regularly subjected to physical or psychological violence by parents, caregivers, and other trusted individuals. In far too many cases, abuse, neglect, and household violence remain hidden, and only a fraction of children and families ever receive the help and resources they desperately need.
The Lasting Impact
Without intervention, this cycle of trauma repeats across generations, leaving lifelong mental, emotional, and physical scars. These experiences can also hold a child back from thriving socially, academically, and professionally. At the KC Grace Foundation, we believe addressing this crisis is one of the most urgent challenges facing society today.
